Position: Packaging Operator
Employment: Full-Time (40 hours a week).
As a packaging operator, you will be responsible for packaging beer in the execution of the daily work schedule in a safe, timely, and efficient manner and you will represent and promote Cape May Brewery in a positive manner to guests, local residents, and the general public.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead by example in upholding the Company’s Core Values and promoting a positive and constructive working environment
- Running all equipment on kegging and canning lines
- Start-up and shut-down of utilities and equipment
- CIP, CUP and sanitizing of fillers, lines, and bright tanks
- Competent operation of fillers, washers, palletizers, and conveyors
- Maintaining line efficiency through seamless supply of empty packaging and removal of full packaging
- Close monitoring of cooperage quality and removing cooperage in need of repair
- Ensuring accurate and legible coding and labeling of all containers
- Routine daily maintenance of all equipment
- Addressing all product quality issues immediately and stopping line if issues cannot be corrected promptly.
- Helping to maintain accurate and detailed daily run logs
- Participating in regularly scheduled departmental meetings to review issues and propose solutions
- Folding cardboard cartons
- Sensory analysis of various products
- Ensure that the work area is clean and organized
- Constantly strive for improvement by looking for ways to make things better, safer, faster or by reducing costs
- When needed, assist with accepting deliveries and other warehousing operations
- Assist in other areas of the brewery on an as-needed basis

Qualifications:
- 21 years of age or older
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
Special Requirements:
- Enthusiasm for craft beer
- Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Standing for long periods of time
- Squatting, crouching, bending, kneeling

- Climbing ladders and stairs
- Repetitive movements
- Lifting up to 60 lbs. unassisted and up to 160 lbs. assisted
- Manually manipulating parts, pumps and hoses
- Pushing and pulling heavy loads

- Required to use handle objects, tools and controls
- Use of heavy machinery, including hand pallet jacks and forklift operation
