Food and Supply Drive
2020 has been a rough year. We’ve seen a global pandemic that won’t end and an economic downturn that’s hurt many of our nearest and dearest. Because of that, more than ever, at Cape May Brewing Company, we need to live our Core Value to Be a Good Neighbor. That’s why this year, we’re determined to make our annual food drive to be the biggest and the best yet.
So, this year, we’re relying on CMBC’s Heart & Soul by splitting the Brew Crew into two teams: Heart and Soul.
The Heart team is comprised of the heart of Cape May Brewing Company: production, warehouse, marketing, and administration. They’re the folks that make the heart of what we do possible: making awesome brews for you to enjoy.
The Soul team is Cape Beverage and the Tasting Room — the folks who make sure that you have a chance to feed your soul with our awesome brews. Without them, we’d have a whole lot of beer lying around.
When you visit our Tasting Room, you’ll find two 40-gallon drums: one for the heart team and one for the soul folks. All you need to do is drop your items in one of the two drums — you’ll be supporting one of the two teams. Each time one gets filled up, we’ll empty them and send the foods to Branches in Rio Grande, the Cape May Community Food Closet, or to the Community Food Bank of NJ.
Then, whichever team fills and empties their drum the most times gets their name on the coveted Good Neighbor Keg!
We’ll take any shelf-stable, non-perishable food product, but check the blog for the items that are most in need. You’ll find those drums inside the Tasting Room, conveniently located where you’ll be waiting in line for a place to sit. You won’t even lose your place in line!
We’ll be accepting monetary donations, as well. You’ll be able to donate in the Tasting Room, the Brewtique, or when you check out of the online store.
So, pick a team and do your part. Our food drive runs from Friday, November 20th to Sunday, December 20th. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
