The Pink Boots Society is an association of women in the brewing industry, created to assist, inspire, and encourage women beer industry professionals to advance their careers through education.

“There are a ton of great female brewers in the Philly area, and I’m looking forward to tasting some of the things they’ve done.”

Bold Women & Beer Festival

The Year of the Woman keeps getting better for women in the brewing industry, particularly at CMBC.

They dreamed up a killer beer in collaboration with the Pink Boots Society — a national organization of women in the beer industry — with Maybe She’s Brewed with It — a light and spritzy kettle sour with cherries and mangoes.

They got together and brewed it up on International Women’s Day back in March, with a brew day including Rabbit Hill’s Hillary Barile, Cape May County Chamber of Commerce President Vicki Clark, and Assemblywoman Carol Murphy.

Now, this weekend, some of the women of the brewery will celebrate women in brewing at the very first Bold Women & Beer Festival in Philly!

That first sip might make you pucker, but that fades quickly and leaves you wanting to go back for more.

Maybe She’s Brewed with It

…maybe it’s Cape Maybelline.

When you’re a woman working in a highly male-dominated field, you deserve a beer. When that field is brewing, you really get your choice as to what beer that is.

That’s why the women of the brewery bound together to conceptualize, devise, and brew Maybe She’s Brewed with It in connection with the Pink Boots Society Collaboration Brew Day and International Women’s Day.

We’re proud to release it this Saturday, April 12, at noon.

We as women not only have to support each other, we have to empower each other.

Pink Boots Brew Day

Last Friday, the women of the brewery banded together to brew their Pink Boots collaboration brew, Maybe She’s Brewed with It, then attended a luncheon with honorary speakers Hillary Barile of Rabbit Hill Farms, Cape May County Chamber of Commerce President Vicki Clark, and Assemblywoman Carol Murphy at Lucky Bones Backwater Grille.

Since Straight to the Pint is usually written by a dude, we handed over the reins to one of the talented women at the brewery, Marketing Assistant Kristen Taylor.

Check out her account of the day!

We’re hitting a time when women are being heard. We have the platform now, so why not take advantage of it?

Pink Boots Collaboration

It’s the Year of the Woman, if you haven’t heard.

Women have been surging into Congress, their voices are being heard far and wide, and women everywhere are becoming a force to be reckoned with.

And Cape May Brew Co. is glad to be a part of it. We’re proud of the women around our brewery, and, in collaboration with the Pink Boots Society — a national organization of females in the beer industry — they’ve created a very special brew, exclusively conceived, designed, and executed by the women of CMBC: Maybe She’s Brewed with It, a kettle-soured ale with cherries and mangoes.
