Holiday Shopping at CMBC

It’s the most wonderful time for a beer!

Okay. Just about any time is the most wonderful time for a beer. We know. Luckily, we’ll have our Boughs of Barley 2018 releasing just in time for the holidays!

It’s time to break out of your Halloween candy stupor and start thinking about what you’re going to buy for that beer lover on your list. And, since our new merchandise drops today, you’ll definitely want to check this out!

Friends Giving Collaboration

The best-kept secret around the brewery is that Chris Henke is one of the most generous individuals here. Hank’s our moral center. He’d give you the shirt off his back and then say, “Hey. Would you like a brewery, too?”

That’s why, when Double Nickel came up with the idea of a collaboration between four area breweries to raise money for needy families during the holidays, for Hank, “it was an easy yes.”

Jazz It Up!

There are two weekends each year that we absolutely live for in Cape May — one in April and the other is this weekend.

It’s the Exit Zero Jazz Festival! Twice a year, the biggest names in jazz descend on Cape May for concerts at the Cape May Convention Center, at the Schmidtchen Theater at Lower Cape May Regional High School, and at multiple club venues throughout town, including the Cape May Brewing Company Stage at Cabanas.

We’ve got all the reasons you need to be there!

“And, with the amount of work I put in throughout the holiday months, I definitely appreciate their beer.”

Feed the People!

Believe it or not, the holidays will be here before you know it. It seems like we were all at the beach a week ago, getting some sun and playing in the sand, but it’s actually November now.

How did that happen?!?

Regardless, as the weather turns colder and the seasonal employment dries up in Cape May County, we’re left with a lot of people in the county who aren’t sure where their next meal is coming from.

That’s where the Community Food Bank of New Jersey comes in. They work tirelessly to ensure that no one in our state goes without a nutritious meal, servicing nearly 15,000 households in South Jersey and allowing us to live out one of our most dearly-held Core Values: Be a Good Neighbor.

That’s why, beginning November 16th, we’ll be collecting shelf-stable, non-perishable items in our Brewtique.

The best thing about this partnership is that CMBC’s fan-favorite chocolate porter, King Porter Stomp, will be flowing at each of the club venues included in your Hops Pass.

All That Jazz

Come on, babe, why don’t we paint the town? And all that jazz….

Kander and Ebb may have been thinking of Cape May when they wrote that line — except for the fact that it’s from a show called Chicago — because, during the Exit Zero Jazz Festival next weekend, you’ll be able to paint the town and get all that jazz.

And, with CMBC as the exclusive beer sponsor, you know you’re in for a treat — namely King Porter Stomp.

Beer Dinner at Two Mile Landing

There’s nothing better than kicking back with the perfect beer to complement a meal. When all of the flavors in the food and in the beer combine just right, you know you’re experiencing something ephemeral, something that you’re not likely to be able to recreate on this mortal plane.

Luckily, we have our Head Chef, JP Thomas, looking out for us in that regard. He’s put together several beer dinners recently, and he always knocks it out of the park.

Last week, Sales Manager Richie Rallo set one up at Two Mile Landing in Wildwood Crest, and JP worked with the folks there to create a perfect pairing menu.

“There's always a lot going on at our Halloween Bash, and this year is no different,” Randi says.

Halloween Bash

Halloween is a favorite around the brewery. The Brew Crew goes all out when it comes to costumes, and our fans love dressing up in CMBC-themed costumes.

We’ve got a spooOOoooOOoooky bash planned for 5-9pm on the 26th. Check it out!

Things happen in Lebowski that are simply beyond the realm of possibility, yet it’s a story told so earnestly and acted so well that you end up rooting for the biggest loser of all time and his moron friends.

Why We Love Lebowski

With the release of our white cream stout Ties the Room Together, you’ve been hearing quite a bit about The Big Lebowski. And for good reason — it’s definitely one of those movies that stays with you. It celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and has remained eminently quotable since its release in 1998.

However, we get that it might not be everyone’s cup of tea… or rocks glass of white Russians, as it were. If you’ve never been able to catch the movie — even in its find-a-stranger-in-the-Alps, sanitized version on TNT — we’ll have it playing during the release party for Ties the Room Together on Friday from 5-8pm.

But… the sound will be off so that you’ll be able to hear Will Knapp play all of the Creedence known to man (and you won’t be able to hear the 260 uses of the f-word…). Fans of the film will undoubtedly show up to the party in costume as their favorite character — as The Dude, Walter, Donny, Maude, Jackie Treehorn, or one of the nihilists — and get the chance to win a CMBC and Left Hand Swag Bag. We’ll have collectible glassware and inflatable bowling, and a great time will be had.

But why? We caught up with the Brew Crew and a couple of folks from over at Left Hand to find out what they love about The Big Lebowski.

If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll love our fan favorites below. If not, swing by the party on Friday, anyway.

City to Shore is Here!

We are down to the wire for BikeMS: City to Shore!

It’s one of the biggest weekends of our sponsorship year, when all the work and training and fundraising comes to a head and our bikers all convene in Cherry Hill for one singular purpose: making Multiple Sclerosis a thing of the past.

Chefs’ Dine Around

From time to time, we’ll schedule a beer dinner. One of our accounts will coordinate with our Head Chef JP Thomas, and, together, they’ll work out a menu and pairings.

They’re always a great time. JP really has a knack for pairings, and we’re lucky to have him.

We’re also lucky to have an organization such as MAC in town. Formally known as the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities, they’ve been great friends to the brewery for years. A non-profit, we’ve hosted Pint Nights for them, worked on Pop-Up Beer Gardens with them, and, last week, worked with them on their take on the traditional beer dinner: the Chefs’ Dine Around.
