"I know 'hop bomb' gets thrown around a lot around these blogs, but I think this is the hoppiest of hop bombs, and I love the beer for it."

The Brew Crew on Snag & Drop

It’s one of our favorite beers at the brewery, chock full of nearly all of the hops you could conceivably fit in a beer.

That’s Snag & Drop, our 10% ABV Triple IPA.

Dank and resinous, with hints of pine and orange citrus in the background, this alluring Triple IPA is packed to the gills with some of our stickiest and most pungent hops.

We hit up the Brew Crew to find out what they love about this perennial favorite.

Ryan Krill, the Head Honcho

What do you love about Snag & Drop? Ohhhhh mannnn, It’s so hoppy and resinous…and boozy.

How do you love to enjoy Snag & Drop? I love drinking it by the fire this time of year.

Robert Krill, the Mop Man

What do you love about Snag & Drop? When it’s cold outside, Snag and Drop is the perfect beer to warm you up for the coming snow.

How do you love to enjoy Snag & Drop? I enjoy Snag & Drop sitting by a fire in my favorite chair, chatting with my family and friends. Another year is over and a new year of fishing is just around the corner.

Mark Graves, Packaging Manager

What do you love about Snag & Drop? For the alcohol content, beers like this usually end up a sweet, boozy, bitter mess. I think our brew team did a fantastic job making this wintertime treat dry while remaining complex. It’s got a great blend of new-world hopping techniques with a nod to the West Coast malt and hop profile of several years ago. It’s going to be hard to Snag & Drop this delicious beverage!

How do you love to enjoy Snag & Drop? On its own or with a nice cut of red meat for dinner. Something to stand up to the bold flavor.

Mike Marchiano, Distribution Specialist

What do you love about Snag & Drop? It’s as crushable as a triple IPA gets.

How do you love to enjoy Snag & Drop? While watching the Sixers.

Brian Hink, Innovation Director

What do you love about Snag & Drop? Hopsonhopsonhopsonhopsonhopsonhops for days. Despite being 10%, it’s incredibly balanced and wayyyyyyy too drinkable, and is the perfect beer for these bitterly cold, snowy, winter doldrums… err, rather how the weather should be. Luckily this big boi drinks pretty easily on these nice fake-summer winters, but they’re perfect if winter ever decides to start.

How do you love to enjoy Snag & Drop? Out of my favorite tulip glass with some high quality pizza on the side.

Danielle Brasch, Tasting Room Supervisor

What do you love about Snag & Drop? When it’s mixed with Corrosion — perfect pair!

Jenna Tesauro, Events Team Member

What do you love about Snag & Drop? I know “hop bomb” gets thrown around a lot around these blogs, but I think this is the hoppiest of hop bombs, and I love the beer for it. I like that it has more of the piney hop flavors than some of the other seasonal IPAs, and it’s got a big punch of flavor without being palate-wrecking, which for a TRIPA (sidenote: not an abbreviation, but I think it should be) is impressive.

How do you love to enjoy Snag & Drop? Well, the first time we canned it, I got to share it with fellow Eagles fanatics at the parade. Every time I see the green can, it brings me back. With the Birds done for the season, I’ll try to find other winter adventures. Of course, enjoying responsibly in a warm house on a cold night sounds pretty good too (especially if there’s a fire going).

Brad Young, Brewer

What do you love about Snag & Drop? Snag & Drop is a nice change of pace from the straw-colored hazy bois that dominate damn near every can and tap handle around. It’s also the perfect nightcap IPA.

How do you love to enjoy Snag & Drop? Come inside from a snowy night time dog walk, kick back next to the roaring wood stove and rip open a can of Snag. Enjoy thoroughly, then it’s sweet dreams from there on out.

Richard Schmidt, Tasting Room Supervisor

What do you love about Snag & Drop? I love that this big ABV brew drinks so well. Smooth and enjoyable for any occasion!

How do you love to enjoy Snag & Drop? Sipping it in the Tasting Room, or gulping it down from the can at any occasion!

Christine Marsh, Brewtique Associate

What do you love about Snag & Drop? I’ve never had it and I’ve waited all year to try it!!

How do you love to enjoy Snag & Drop? I’ll probably enjoy it from the comfort of my couch. I don’t plan on moving after a second one.

Polly Pollock-Bell, Warehouse Manager

What do you love about Snag & Drop? Two of these bad boys and I’m well on my way… on my way to Flavor Town!

How do you love to enjoy Snag & Drop? A little pre-game beer if you will. One doesn’t need much more after one or two of these.

Tom LoBianco, Sales Manager

What do you love about Snag & Drop? I always get asked the question “What’s the best beer you make?” I always respond with, “Well, they’re ALL the best, but MY favorite is Snag & Drop.” It was one of the first CMBC beers I tried when I began working for the brewery in 2018, and it was one of the first canned products I could sell to retail. The graphics on the can are awesome, as well as the beer inside! Plus it’s 10% ABV. What’s not to love?

Last year I stocked up and was able to have some left in the fridge into the summer and may or may not have tagged them as “Don’t drink these” in case anyone was looking for a beer because it’s not just “a beer,” it’s Snag & Drop!

How do you love to enjoy Snag & Drop? I enjoy them at home, in a glass, and not super cold.

Craig Tropp, Warehouse Manager

What do you love about Snag & Drop? I love that Snag is an IPA to the extreme. As a triple IPA, the hop flavor seems intimidating, but it’s not that simple. There are lots of complex flavors that come through even with the intense hop flavor and aroma.

How do you love to enjoy Snag & Drop? I love when Snag comes out because my cousin Mike is a huge fan. We usually crack into a few too many (it doesn’t take much with this heavy hitter) and enjoy them together by his fire pit if we’re lucky.

Michael Laferrera, Sales Manager

What do you love about Snag & Drop? It is a very easy-drinking beer for 10% Triple IPA, but it’s also a very dangerous beer. I sometimes drink Snag & Drop like Always Ready.

How do you love to enjoy Snag & Drop? I love drinking Snap & Drop by the fireplace.
