Music Connects Pop-Up Beer Garden

While the summer season has, in theory, drawn to a close, we’re still livin’ it up down in Cape May. It’s still perfect beach weather, and, now that school is open, the crowds have died down a bit. It’s like having your own private beach!

(Okay, maybe not. It’s still nice, though.)

Either way, we’re not quite ready to say goodbye to summer, and with the events we have coming up in September, we don’t have to! Up this weekend: the Music Connects Pop-Up Beer Garden!

We are delighted to partner with Cape May Brewing Co. again this year to provide a gathering place outdoors for people once again at Pop-Up Beer Gardens at Cape May historic sites.

Beer Gardens are Popping Up Again!

Last year, we paired up with the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities and the non-profit arm of the Exit Zero Jazz Festival, Music Connects, to participate in their summertime Pop-Up Beer Gardens.

Those three were so much fun that they’ve asked us to help out with them again this year. MAC has three planned — the first on July 12th –, and Exit Zero Jazz Festival has one planned in August.

And they’re all supporting great causes!

Exit Zero Jazz Festival Pop-Up Beer Garden

Beer gardens are popping up all over! Both of MAC’s were extraordinarily successful, and we love being asked to be part of them. This summer, we’ve seen two great events at two of Cape May’s most cherished historic locations.

And now we’re happy to be part of yet another popup! On Saturday, September 9th, from 4-9pm, we’ll be pouring at the Exit Zero Jazz Festival Pop-up Beer Garden in downtown Cape May.

There’s really nothing like downtown Cape May. You can smell the salty sea air as you peruse the shops on Washington Street Mall. You can take a carriage ride through town, marveling at the vintage Victorian architecture. You can tour the Emlen Physick Estate or see a show at any number of theatre companies.

It’s the majesty and strength, I think, of this beacon purposely designed to withstand four times the strength of the strongest hurricanes and provide light in the darkness.

Poppin’ Up

MAC’s Pop-Up Beer Garden last month was a huge success. Although the lightning closed us down a little earlier than we intended, MAC was able to raise nearly $5,000. This time around, they’re looking to beat that total — and they can use all the help they can get. The recent state government shutdown caused them to miss out on almost $20,000.

We’re glad to help put a dent in that loss… and have a blast doing it!

July is Poppin’!

While CMBC is making Cape May known as a beverage destination, the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities (MAC) has been working for over four decades to bring Cape May’s rich history alive.

We’ve partnered with our good friends at MAC to bring our fans and visitors a one-night-only Pop-Up Beer Garden at the historic WWII Tower 23 at Sunset Beach on July 13th. You’ll be able to relax under the stars at one of Cape May’s most cherished historic structures. And it’s all for a good cause, as the proceeds of the evening support MAC.

We start at 4pm — just in time to catch one of the most memorable sunsets in New Jersey.
