"It’s brilliant! It’s tart, lively, and very refreshing."

Get the lowdown on Key Lime Corrosion!

This week, we got together over Zoom with Production Planning and Specialty Brewing Manager Brian Hink to get the lowdown on Key Lime Corrosion.

For Key Lime Corrosion, we took our revered sour IPA, Corrosion, already bursting with Citra and Centennial, and we turned it up a notch with a hefty dose of key lime juice and Motueka hops. Corrosion’s bright and citrusy notes of orange and lemon are ramped up with intense lime aromas, intensifying the tangy and vibrant finish, with puckering tartness and vibrant hops hanging in the balance.

Key Lime Corrosion hits shelves throughout New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, and Delaware this coming Monday. Don’t miss it!

“With its bright, citrusy notes and refreshing profile, Key Lime Corrosion is an excellent springtime beer, featuring its distinctive kick of lime and intense sour flavors."

Key Lime Corrosion is set for distribution!

Some beers are born great, and others have greatness thrust upon them. For Key Lime Corrosion, both of those things are true.

You see, Key Lime Corrosion began its journey as an already-great beer: Corrosion. Then, for an event for Philly Beer Week in 2016, we had the bright idea to add some key lime juice to Corrosion, thrusting further greatness upon it.

The key lime variant has since become a favorite of fans and staff alike, and we know better than to keep all of that goodness for ourselves, so we’re scaling it up and setting it free. Key Lime Corrosion will be available in the Tasting Room and Brewtique beginning February 12th, and will hit shelves across our area beginning February 22nd!

“Hoppy, nice mouthfeel, brilliant aroma, but it's also quite different because there's hardly a trace of bitterness and it's pretty damn sour, too.”

Key Lime Corrosion

Make It Better: it’s one of our Core Values, and how we approach a lot of things at Cape May Brewing Company. From improving our beers to finding ways to improve functionalities in the office, we’re always looking for ways to Make It Better.

And this ethos extends to things that don’t even need to be made better: we believe that things that are already pretty good on their own can always be improved.

Take, for example, our unique sour IPA, Corrosion. By most accounts, Corrosion is an awesome beer — Sour. IPA. BOOM. You wouldn’t think that there are many ways we could improve upon it.

Yet… we did it: Key Lime Corrosion is available now in the Brewtique!
