This week is a “launchpad to reinvigorate Philadelphia’s food and drink community, drawing people back to breweries, bars, and events safely to celebrate as a community.”

Philly Beer Week 2021 – An Essential Return

Philly Beer Week is a ten-day festival and celebration of beer and recognition of Philadelphia as America’s Best Beer-Drinking City. We’re pretty lucky to live nearby, and we’re fortunate to be included among the incredible brews you can find inside and outside of the city limits year-round.

After the hiatus last year, we’re thrilled to be back, as next week marks the start of Philly Beer Week 2021, from Friday, June 4th through Sunday, June 13th.

Read on to find out how to plan your post-Memorial Day beer ventures in Philly!

Philly Beer Week is a long-standing tradition of the largest and oldest beer week celebration in the U.S. This week has an importance beyond just getting together and enjoying some great brews, though.

Executive Director Christina Dowd of Philly Loves Beer, the non-profit that runs Philly Beer Week, notes that this week is a “launchpad to reinvigorate Philadelphia’s food and drink community, drawing people back to breweries, bars, and events safely to celebrate as a community.”

The tagline for this year’s event, It’s Essential, can be attributed to the place beer has in all of our hearts, but it’s really about so much more. Philly Beer Week is a key component of the community and the craft brewing industry as a whole, providing a space to celebrate and recognize all of those in the industry, from brewers and packaging crews to servers and kitchen staff, warehouse associates, distributors, and more!

Complete with an array of diverse events, dinners, and beer releases, Philly Beer Week has something for everyone to enjoy, and we’re proud to join in the fun this year!
