As we head into summer, there are some great holidays lined up the first week of May to celebrate.

Homebrews, Star Wars, Mom . . . There’s A Lot to Celebrate Next Week!

As we head into summer, there are some great holidays lined up the first week of May to celebrate. Here’s a few we love, and some brews you can join us in imbibing while you celebrate!

Many successful breweries get their start from a passion for homebrewing, and Cape May Brewing Company is no exception! A large part of our brew crew have roots in homebrewing, including Manager of Brewery Operations James Fox, events team members Jenna and Danielle Tesauro, Innovation Director Brian Hink, Beertender Rich Schmidt, Brewer/Cellarperson Mike McGrath, Cape Beverage General Manager Justin Vitti, Packaging Manager Mark Graves, and more! For those celebrating National Homebrew Day by tweaking recipes and trying out new brews this summer, why not enjoy some Crushin’ It? This now wildly-popular brew made its start as the winner of a brew crew homebrew competition!

May the brews be with you. However you choose to celebrate May the 4th, whether it’s rewatching some of your favorite films or TV shows in the Star Wars franchise, playing Battlefront, Jedi: Fallen Order, or X-Wing, or arguing over the correct order for watching the series (no judgment here!), pair your day with a couple of our brews that feature some out-of-this-world Comet hops: Always Ready and Grapefruit Crushin’ It! If you happen to catch fellow Star Wars fans Packaging Operator Brock Harton and Cape Beverage General Manager Justin Vitti in the Tasting Room the next time you visit, make sure to say hi!

The long and, for many, somewhat turbulent school year is winding down beginning this month, and as the end of the school year approaches, teachers need some love! Here at Cape May Brewing Company, our team includes a number of current and former educators, including Tasting Room Supervisor Danielle Brasch, Brewtique Associate/Greeter Barb Bur and Greeter Tom Myers. Our summer limited release IPA Follow the Gull debuts this year in early May, which is perfect timing for the teacher in your life to enjoy after Teacher Appreciation Week!

To commemorate freedom and democracy and celebrate Mexican-American heritage, Cinco de Mayo has been a beloved holiday for generations. Whether you’re ordering in tacos, making enchiladas from scratch at home, or enjoying other Mexican-inspired dishes, you’re going to need a brew to pair that delicious food with. Why not our Mexican-style lager Tan Limes or our lightly spicy pineapple jalapeño margarita-inspired hard seltzer Down to Fiesta? Make sure you head to the tasting room or place an order online ahead of time to snag your own 4-pack of Down to Fiesta, which you can only grab at the Tasting Room for a limited time starting April 30th!

Need we say more? National Beverage Day is all about relaxing and enjoying your favorite beverages. If you’re like us, many of your top favorites include beer. Stop by your favorite watering hole that serves our brews, join us in the Tasting Room, or take some of your favorites home to enjoy from your local store (check out our Beer Finder to find one near you!). If you’re looking for something classic to enjoy, check out our collaboration helles lager Boat Ramp Champ or find a new favorite flavor in our Grapefruit, Mango, Black Cherry, or Watermelon hard seltzers! Cheers!

Still struggling to figure out what to get mom for Mother’s Day? Beer makes a great last-minute gift, and we have brews for all palates. For moms who love wine and enjoy something on the sweeter side, our shandies The Bog and The Grove are great choices. Our fellow Brew Crew moms also love Cape May White, our classic, crushable belgian-style witbier. If you’ve got a hop-head mom, she’ll love our IPA seasonal Follow the Gull, which releases again this year just in time for Mother’s Day! (You might even get extra brownie points for stopping by to grab this brew from our Tasting Room so that she can be one of the first people to enjoy it for the season!).

What are some ways you’ll be celebrating this coming week with our brews? Tag us on social media or send your pictures to Ariel if you would like your photo featured in our weekly newsletter! We’re ramping up for summer, so stay tuned for even more exciting announcements in the weeks to come!
